Aerial Photographs 1979-1984.

This series consists of large aerial photographs of the UAB campus. The photographs were taken in October 1979 and October 1984. The series also contains closeups of individual campus buildings from the same period. All of these photographs are in color.

The four-year Medical College of Alabama, a unit of the University of Alabama, began operations in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1945. In 1969, the Alabama Legislature renamed the programs the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Today, the School of Medicine is part of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. James A.
